Quiet Time with God: a Homeschool Momma's Humble Perspective

Getting to know God

Quiet Time with God a Homeschool Momma’s Humble Perspective

If you are a believer you have likely read God’s Word or at least heard it taught to you. In Episode 70 I talked about why it’s important to know God’s Word and why it is pivotal to actually having a relationship with Him. Not only does God call us to this, I can vouch for the fact that it has produced real tangible results in my own life.

We live in a busy world, a constant pull for our time and attention. Even if we love God and desire to know His Word we can fail at truly drawing near to His heart. This is truly our loss, and the enemy knows it.

God meets us in our efforts!

No matter how busy your life is, you can still spend time with Him. How?! I’m glad you asked!

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!

Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

When You said, “Seek My face,”

My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”

Psalms 27(vs 7)

I’m so passionate about God’s Word and spending time with Him, I understand the struggle we all have in fighting for time to get alone with Him. This is why I wanted to not only talk about my own experience but also interview women from different walks of life and different seasons. God has so much grace and always meets us in our efforts to get closer to His heart!

Just a humble Jesus loving Momma

Meet Holly, a homeschool Momma and wife who loves Jesus. Through her candid and humble lens, we’ll hear the profound impact of what carving out time to draw closer to the heart of God has had on her life. Like you Holly is a busy woman who desires to know God more but finds herself amidst daily challenges to walk it out.

Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,

But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.1Give her of the fruit of her hands,

And let her own works praise her in the gates.

Proverbs 31

She talks about not wasting seasons where we have more time to prepare us for busy seasons ahead. She reminds us that God is outside of time and uses every moment for His Kingdom and Glory. I love some of the resources Holly gave like the Glorify App which is perfect for a busy Momma! Boundaries are something that help us with setting our priorities and we talked about the Boundaries Book by Dr. John Townsend and Dr. Henry Cloud. Holly also mentioned the Invincible Book By Dr. Robert Jeffress

My favorite thing about our conversation is the grace and perspective Holly brought to this daily struggle. Listen in a share with another woman of God who might be needing some quiet time with God, from a Homeschool Momma’s Humble Perspective.
